The Master Facility Plan process began in 2014

• The district contracted with Roth|Lesko for a facility assessment.
• The purpose was to determine the cost for necessary renovations and the cost for replacement of our school buildings.
• These were compared to determine a ratio of how much it would cost to renovate a building as compared to replacing it with a new one.

Phase 1: 2015 – 2018

• A bond/levy was for 3 new elementary schools and renovations.
• Taylor Elementary, Struble Elementary, and Pleasant Run Elementary opened and renovations on other buildings are complete.

Phase 2: Current

• NWLSD community stakeholders began the process of evaluating the next steps in the Master Facility Plan.
• Educational Visioning teams and Community Advisory Teams were formed to evaluate district needs.  The Board accepted their Master Facilities Plan recommendation.
• Bond issue for 4.98 Mills on the ballot May 2, 2023.
